STS Timber Wholesale Pty Ltd has grown rapidly in recent years to become one of the largest independent producers and distributors of treated and non-treated timber products in Australia.



The Director, Peter Giosserano, has worked in the timber industry since 1985 and started his own fence construction business in 1994. His new business progressed into a timber and fencing supply and then in 2002, a further business was created, this new business specialised in wholesale timber and Peter invested in a Treatment Plant at the Dandenong site.

By 2007 the wholesale business had expanded to the degree that a second site was required and STS Timber Wholesale Pty Ltd then acquired the Durapine business and site in Dandenong.

The continued growth then lead to the acquisition of a sawmill and Treatment Plant in Woori Yallock in 2011. Over the years Peter has rationalised and upgraded the sites and the company currently employs 35 people across two sites, Dandenong and Woori Yallock.

The growth of the business can be contributed to Peter’s understanding of the needs of the market and his on-going investments in product and people.

Installation of sophisticated Process Control Systems at the Woori Yallock and Dandenong sites in conjunction with long-term treatment chemical supplier, Koppers Performance Chemicals, gives STS Timber Wholesale Pty Ltd the ability to use sophisticated multi-part chemical systems and produce the reporting required for inventory and control.
